Students were introduced to the work of British sculptor Rachel Whiteread, whose work explores everyday space. Students cast commonplace objects of their choice, such as the inside of Crocs shoes, a Hershey's chocolate bar, bubble wrap and pasta. They built a receptacle for the object, poured the plaster and displayed it for exhibition.
